The Hotel Radisson SAS Béke does not only offer comfortable, pleasant accommodation, but also good cuisine and considerate personal service. At the exhibitions organised monthly in the Béke Gallery guests may see the works of both young and established artists - from pictures that delight the eyes to thought-provoking and shocking paintings.

Erica László's exhibition was opened on 1st September. Erica László was born in Hungary, and studied at the graphic design department of the Harrow School of Art in London. She started work at an advertising agency in London as an illustrator and designer. She was living in Germany when she decided on painting as her profession. After several successful exhibitions, now she is well known in the
United States and the UK. For a while she has been living and working in Budapest, more and more people are getting to know her original and powerful pictures.
"At the dawn of the new millennium when the disgusting is called modern and the shoddy roman¬tic, there is a strong need for frank, powerful, but tasteful works of art that sincerely show the ideals and goals of our aggressive civilisation. Erica László's pictures are successful because they do not lie: that's what it is; that js how things are ..." writes G. Pál Gótfalvi in his Book Hig-h Society. The book of verse was presented to the audience at the opening cere¬mony of the exhibition, the poems were inspired by Erica László's paintings, the encounter of literature and art produced a special work of art itself.
